Red Harbour teamed up with Policy Hub Scotland to host an event on sexting. ‘Generation Sext’ explores why the sending of images has become so prevalent amongst our children and young people. The Abusive Behaviour and Sexual Harm (Scotland) Bill attracted a lot of media attention, predominately for its focus on so called “Revenge P0rn”. Chaired by Joanna Barrett from NSPCC with some very knowledgeable speakers in their field including Elaine Chalmers, Head of Childline in Scotland; Dr Rachel Happer, Head of the National Confidential Forum to name a few. The event gave the opportunity for the delegates to learn and ask questions especially in relation to the responsibility of the teachers/educators. The feedback from the event was excellent with a lot of delegates wanting to know more and what they can and should do to if this situation was to arise in their workplace.
