Unintentionally, current welfare issues affecting Scotland's children and young people can, be centred around girls. Issues such as stress, anxiety, negative body image, low self-esteem as well as the growing problems of sexting, misogynistic attitudes and behaviours, and general sexualisation of young people are all frequently viewed through the prism of how they impact on girls and young women. Boys can often be regarded as part of the problem and not part of the suffering too.
Red Harbour are responsible for the idea and delivery of an event for Policy Hub Scotland, looking at how we can ensure boys are fully engaged and supported.
We are delighted to have Martin Daubney, Co-founder of The Men & Boys Coalition and Ex-Editor Loaded magazine and Graham Goulden, Director of Cultivating Minds UK
